Job Vacancy - Quality Technician

£18,000 - £24,000 per annum

Jointmedica Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Quality Technician, to join our growing team.

Introduction / The Role

This post will provide support working on projects under the guidance of the Quality and Regulatory Consultant, and Technical Director. Our manufacturing interests cover a wide range of disciplines which include complex material methods, polyethylene processing, hard tooling, turning and honing.  

Ideally you will have experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, and will have high level understanding of the standards expected in the Medical Device arena. Familiarity within the polymer industry would be an advantage. You will have an engineering qualification, served apprenticeship or equivalent with a mechanical bias. 

Key requirements

  • Assisting with the maintenance of ISO9001 Quality Management system

  • Knowledge of ISO13485 is desirable.

  • Conducting Internal Audits

  • Reviewing and updating Quality System Records

  • Reviewing Internal Audit Reports and ECN’s

  • Maintaining SOP’s and Technical Files

  • Writing Internal Process SOP’s

  • Calibration of test equipment

  • Contribution towards Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain Training Records up-to-date

  • Manage Customer Complaint Records 
     

The successful applicant will:

  • Have two years' experience in quality engineering as an inspector or similar role

  • Good understanding of the quality tools required for validation of processes

  • Possess strong problem-solving skills

  • Have good attention to detail

  • Ability to work with staff at differing levels of the organisation.

  • Competence to assess and upgrade procedures and systems.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • A team player.

  • Versatile and a self-starter able to work without supervision.
