About Us

JointMedica is an Orthopaedic design and development ‘Think Tank’, with the aim to advance and disseminate new concepts which result in the creation of innovative Orthopaedic implants. Our objective is to form close relationships with key Orthopaedic Surgeons, empowering the creation of products that are highly innovative while at the same time meeting the heightened expectations of patients along with the stringent quality and safety standards that apply to modern Orthopaedic implants.

About the Role

As the Director of Marketing for JointMedica, you will play a key role in determining the marketing strategy and executing campaigns that will define the success of our next-generation hip resurfacing system and future projects. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans that successfully communicate our value proposition and build brand awareness. Your leadership will be central in establishing our presence within the industry and ensuring our product is acknowledged as an innovative solution in the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Marketing Associate

  • Lead design teams for NPD projects

  • Develop and manage marketing plans, advertising campaigns, social media strategy, and content marketing.

  • Works with the clinical and senior leadership team to craft messaging and positioning that supports the value propositions of our product

  • Develop strategies for communications to be used to educate various stakeholders ranging from investors to strategic buyers

  • Actively research demand for our and our competitors’ products, offerings, and services and build brand awareness, positioning, and lead generation efforts through all required channels.

  • Identifies, fosters, and manages relationships with KOLs

  • Analyse clinical and market data to assess future messaging opportunities

  • Helps put together a global strategy for relevant industry meetings and plans podium presence and related promotional activities at various conferences

  • Create and maintain a standardized surgeon training program

  • Support sales in strategies to maximize profits and market share

  • Closely align and coordinate Marketing strategies and tactics to align with and support Sales strategy, operations, medical affairs, quality assurance, regulatory and engineering

  • Effectively communicate the marketing vision of the organization

  • Roll up your sleeves to provide hands-on support for teams and individuals, contributing to tasks such as market or financial analytics and strategy development sessions; we are a start-up!


  • MBA strongly preferred; bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences or business discipline required

  • Orthopedic Reconstruction Device experience is required; specifically with hip resurfacing, and/or experience with total hip reconstruction

  • Minimum of 10+ years of marketing in a medical device company with both upstream and downstream marketing experience

  • Start-up experience preferred

  • Ability to influence at all levels in an organization, excellent collaboration, and negotiation skills; Strong analytical skills working with clinical or research data

  • Ability to travel international and domestic
